  • You know you drive a Festiva if.......

Thought this may be a fun thread to start and see how many different things we can come up with. Maybe this has already been done, but here's my contribution:

You know you drive a Festiva if...........

*You notice every vehicle on the road that has a rear spoiler and wonder if it would fit your car.

*You carry a blanket in your car during the winter just to cover your legs while you drive

    * The thought of swapping an entire motor just to gain 20hp makes you excited
    Brian

93L - 5SP, FMS springs, 323 alloys, 1st gen B6, ported head & intake, FMS cam, ported exhaust manifold w/2-1/4" head pipe.
    04 Mustang GT, 5SP, CAI, TFS plenum, 70mm TB, catted X, Pypes 304SS cat-back, Hurst Billet+ shifter, SCT/Bama tuned....4.10's & cams coming soon
    62 Galaxie 2D sedan project- 428, 3x2V, 4SP, 3.89TLOC

    1 wife, 2 kids, 9 dogs, 4 cats......
Not enough time or money for any of them

*Seeing another small car gets your attention so much that you almost rear-end someone

      * You consider anything less than 35MPG "bad"

      * A factory antenna delete plate is a rare & desirable option

      * A manual passenger's mirror is a desirable option

      * You can smoke 95% of the vehicles on the road with a $350 junkyard engine swap

      * 1800Lbs is considered "Heavy"

      * 14" wheels are considered "big"

      * You check "Craig's List" daily for rusted out Mercury Capri's
      Brian

          * You get excited when you see another Festiva driving in the other direction and tempted to make a U just to follow it 15 miles in the other direction

Also you know that you have a keeper when she.....

*You can siphon the gas out of your lawn mower and get half a tank for your car.

*You look forward to gas shortages so you don't have to deal with all the traffic

*Even when gas is over $3 a gallon you can still take a road trip "just because".

*People chuck at the car until you tell them the fuel mileage it gets.

*You look at every car with 4 lugs as a potential wheel donor.
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

*In first gear you can repeatedly stomp on the gas pedal to pretend you have hydraulics.

*You never have to worry about parrell parking.

*You see another festiva in a parking lot and go see what it has that you need.

*When you think of vehicle repairs you think of the junk yard or how long it will take the auto part store to get your parts in, not the price.

*Liabilty insurance is just as much a value meal from Mc Donalds.

*Your car reminds people of the free credit report dot com commercial.

*To you your car is priceless, to others $300 to $500.

*People refer to your car as the Clown Car and wonder when the circus will be in town.

*Old Timers (No offense intended to anyone) tell you how many people they have successfully cramed in the car back in thier day.

*When your car breaks down and you need a tow you call your buddies to put in the back of their truck bed.

                              * You've actually considered purchasing a tool shed from Home Depot to use as a garage.

                              * You've went out of your way to chase down someone you don't know just because they have the same car as you do.

                              * every time you see another one one the road, you immediately go to the internet to see if it's someone you know.
