figured i'd say howdy to everyone here, not just those browsing the texas area threads.

HI, my name is gail, I'm a giant irishman and this is my first little car.

i'm actually deeply madly in love with the car i last sold. My 96 caprice wagon was my dream car....then i sold it to buy a house like a sucker. had a 99 cougar before that, which tragically met a wall one morning and i currently am rocking a 06 volvo S60. I'm letting all my friends by the fun cars and i just work on those to get my fix...

I typically can be found in my garage, covered in some sort of dust. Can be anything from wood to fiberglass, to c/f to granite, doesnt matter, its all just dust.
I like to think that i'm fairly decent at fiberglass fabrication, most times if i can sketch it , then i can make it. the rest of the time i just pretend its supposed to look like that.

here's some of my past rides and the current "beater". I hope no one gets too offended to find out the only reason i bought the festiva is to destroy it doing irrational and borderline insane events.

Same here. If you're gonna put that much time and effort into a cougar and a caprice wagon, then the festy definitely deserves better than what you have planned for it!

Dude, we all put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into finding these cars and bringing them back to life then you come on here and talk about destroying one. Go find an old Datsun to destroy and sell your Festiva to someone on here. Don't destroy the car.

+100 to all the above comments! Theres a couple of members in your area. If youre just going to destroy it. Please consider PMing one of them about taking it off your hands. Go get a Honda if youre going to just wreck it.

It took me 3 years of trying to get the one I have now. I treat it like it's made of gold. The idea that someone would buy one just to trash it kills me.

              Count me in as offended.

I hate to bandwagon jump, but all things aside a Festiva is a terrible car to do the ol' bag-and-ditch. it's uncommon compared to most other cars of it's type, it has the potential to last forever, and it's not a particularly safe car to do stupid things in (again compared to others)

You know what doesn't get that treatment often enough? Cavaliers, On-fires (sunfires), 1.9 Escorts and Neons.

They're all built to be disposable, more common than air, and have less potential to kill you during "irrational and insane" activities.
And there's less people out there who actually hold any value in these, so you won't end up with a thread full of people who consider you a heartless, mindless murderer of respectable cars.

You know after thinking about it. Perhaps we are being to hasty. Maybe the sacrifce of 1 Festiva wouldnt hurt. If it were used to help cleanse the gene pool, even if it would only remove 1 from said gene pool, then it might be worth it.

                        Just a thought.

Hey it's his car, right? And they are good beater cars because they can sure take a beating and because you can find them for dirt cheap. Personally, I don't care what anyone does with their own stuff. Putting huge spoilers and hood scoops is just as bad
