getting ready to go for a two week walk...

Hell, I'll post when I start organizing my ride. Last time, I went across the south end of the US, then came across central. Probably go out across central, and come back across the north.

Tis year, I'll probably just do a Key West run.

^^ Appalachian Trail. Runs from GA to Maine, I believe. I've done a few miles of it near me. One of these days I'll do the rest.

that is correct. my dad did most of it when he was younger. id love to but id be worried about being eatin by a bear and i cant carry my weapons across state borders.

I always wanted to do something like this until I listened to this book a few years ago.

Get it from the library on CD then rip it and listen to it while you walk. He talks about starting in late winter when there's still snow on the ground and how miserable and cold it is. They start early so they can finish before next winter. Good book to listen to.
