  • Thank you all so much. Many of the Festiva family members who came last night will be around again today. I mentioned that we hadn't finished getting my car ready for Florida. It is still sitting in the garage. They tell me they are going to come change the oil and finish checking it out for me. The whole Festiva community is awesome.

Having so many family and friends around made the hardest day of my life a lot easier. I feel the love everyone had for Dean and cherish all your friendships. Thank you all.

      • the last of the festies has arrived at home . you will always be in our prayers and thoughts barb, jennie, misty, sallie. Dean had one last large festiva convoy we all left barbs and convoyed to the funeral home and then lined that back with all of them . the service was beautiful .standing room only ... dean meant alot to alot of us ,he was our heart and soul into the world of festivas and just when we think we are tired ,of them he brings us back to reality ...cant live with out our festivas ...... rest in peace my friend ,and remember youll have green beans and carrots every day with god ... I love you my friend and nothing nor any one will ever be able to ill that hole

I would just like to take a quick moment to thank Angela (Littlebluecar) and Dan for opening up their home and allowing a bunch of us to basically take it over for a few days. You guys are great. Thanks so much for everything.

Yes, I agree too. The hospitality was awesome. I can't wait to repay them by getting some work done on dan's aspire. Looking forward to their visit to VA. I can't say there wasn't a person there that didn't feel like family when I left.

                          • It's been two years now and I still can't believe he's gone!
I still expect him to show up sometime at a meet and say "surprise"!
I spent time with Dean and Barb all over the place; St Louis, Ohiostiva, the first Madness and every madness there after.
Dean was never without his video camera.
                            I miss this guy!

                              • Wow...thank goodness. I saw the title and thought someone else had passed away..didn't realize this was an old thread. Dean sounded like the type of guy that made everyone's life a bit better. Not near enough people like that in the world. I regret never having the privaledge to know him. We should honor his memory by remembering the friends we have made here.
