This right here tells me that Dean was someone who cared about the community, that was active, took the time to respond to people, was helpful, had tons of information to share.

From what I've heard, he was really a compassionate and sharing person. Kind to strangers, kind to friends.

From the photos I've seen of him, he looks like he was someone always willing to lend a hand, was community driven (not just here but Festiva Madness).

From what I've seen back from the community, he was greatly cared for.

All this says that Dean will be greatly missed, not just by his own family, but by all he that he came into contact with. You judge someone by his actions, not just by what he says.. and all this says that Dean was a great man who won't be forgotten.

        • I haven't been on in a while and this is the first thread I saw. I was really looking forward to meeting dean in October. He will be a big loss to this community and this family. My prayers go out to his family.

                • I don't know what's happening afterwards, but I say give me or anyone a call to see what's up....

There's a lot of people in town too, so I don't think I'd be speaking out of line by saying I'm sure we'll be gathering throughout Friday and Saturday.

                        • Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that he died. I met him a few weeks ago when I drove down to Raleigh to get some parts from him, he was a great, really nice guy and we had a great time getting parts I can't believe he died, but I'm glad I got the opportunity to meet him and see his passion for Festivas.
