ladyblaster, once you get the details on a local meeting place and time let us know. I will get directions and head down your way. Thank you for keeping us all up to date. Not sure how many from up this way and beyond are coming, but I am willing to hook up with a group coming through if anyone is interested.

Brian called me this morning, as did Levitan, and Arty texted me... and I still don't know what to say. The world is a less happy place without Dean.

When my car got hit last month, not only did Dean offer me the parts I needed at a very discounted price, but also said I could stay at his house the night I got there. I ended up not going, and regret missing my only opportunity to meet such a great person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

                          Dear Festiva Brothers and Sisters,

As you know, my Dad passed away suddenly Saturday night from what appears to be a massive heart attack. We had no warning and are only beginning to comprehend the situation.

His Saturday was spent working on Festiva's for the upcoming FL meet, burning several FM3 DVD's, and planning the convoy t-shirts. He was preparing to take a Festiva for a test drive when the Lord took him home. He was in no pain and only complained of feeling slightly tired which is understandable considering Dad was always working, whether it be on his own Festiva’s or lending a hand to a friend.

My Dad was a character like no one else, full of life, ideas, and humor. He greatly enjoyed this Festiva community, the many friends he made here, and the camaraderie of spirit. Please pray for my family in these times of overwhelming grief. We miss him so much as I’m sure you know.

Thank you Angie and Angela for posting the funeral arrangements. We are asking for those of you who have pictures to please post them to Angie’s Facebook page in memory of Dad. We may use some in the visitation service. Also, at the beginning of the service on Thursday there will be time for Dad’s friends and family to tell stories about him, funny, inspiring, or whatever, so that we can all share in the life and memory of Dean Allen.

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes,

Jennie Locklear (Jlock), Dean Allen’s daughter

Jennie....again I am very sorry for your families loss. I wish there was a way that I could be down there for the services. Dean will be greatly missed...I enjoyed the times I talked with him on the phone before he was even a member here and then again meeting him at a couple meets.
