I will post some picks of my interior mirrors (I have one HUGE rear-view mirror, and two smaller convex mirrors on the sides). I have no exterior mirrors at all.....
As for the drag at 50mph, check out this graph, and keep in mind it is in kmh (50mph = 80kmh)http://www.aeva.asn.au/forums/upload...r_vs_speed.gif

Did you get one of those big truck mirrors they have at Canadian Tire? Hahaha! PS - Darlo, have you done any research/experimenting with plastic sheet yet?Last edited by Aaronbrook37; 10-29-2010, 10:33 AM.1988 Chevy Sprint Turbo 997cc

So we both need to make sure our tires are properly inflated.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

Darlo, check out my last few entries, I expect a jump in MPG, or at least I think I'll get one.
Aero mods would help so much!
A truncated boat tail should be worth something MPG wise on our "brick".
Maybe I should consider put an OEM spoiler on it.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

So would expect the crossover point to be lower for the festiva meaning aero mods become effective at a lower speeds.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

Do you have baseline data?
I lowered only the front of one of my Festivas via FMS lowering springs and noted an increase in MPG as well.
Simple side skirts made from say a sheet of 0.125" thick stiff plastic and as low as you dare let them hang, attached to the body stiffener (that run down both sides of the car) would help too.
This would keep air from whirling under the car, and you see and even higher increase.
To bad I didn't grab some of this before I left my job.
Might still be able to get some though.
Have to see.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

Hopefully you can take advantage of the altitude and use lower octane/cheaper fuel.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

What I like about this is if you go a little too low it will grind it self down to a useful level, or get ripped off, but it's cheap and I really think it would help.
I did work at a PVC and PVC/Acrylic alloy sheet extruder and could have gotten whatever thickness I wanted in nearly any color, not that color matters, but too late.
Still might get a friend to send me some and see what could be done!'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)
