        • Except that 1G I accidentally bought. But I'm over that now, it will still play words and get online, so its my garagepod now

Today I put the Escort mirrors on Babystiva! Still gotta switch Festevil over to Escorts too, and at some point Green Car probably as well, but not today.

          • You really have done a lot of winning lately. Between Barbie car, cream puff, the new wheels, the cheap iPods, having a good job, having a good immediate family, being a daddy and husband, having a good extended family, having a good job, and generally winning. God has hooked you up my man! :thumbright:

            • Well, when ya put it that way... Yes He HAS! Also got the escort mirrors for Festevil cut today. Didn't put them on because he's out of the garage with no battery and its pouring rain lol. We're headed over to mom and dads for Mom's Bday! And we'll also be bringing home Babystiva, who has been left there since before last weekend. I drove her a couple times during the day this past week, but she wants to come home lol

                      • Past couple of days were very productive.
Yesterday I installed my rear wiper and washer setup. I had pulled everything a few months ago but just got around to installing.
A 1" hole saw makes the perfect size and 8 3/4" over, 2 1/2" up is the perfect measurement. I changed the gearing to an Escort gear. The motor installed no problem. The washer system was a little more difficult. The bottle wouldn't fit through the tail light access hole so I removed the tail light and put the bottle through that hole. My tail light gasket fell apart so I guess I need to find some mousepads. I used some stiff wiring to pull the washer tube through the c pillar. Drilled a hole in the hatch for the spray nozzle and have everything in and hooked up. I need to RTV the holes for the wiring and seal the nozzle in place.

Today I picked up a wiper arm at the yard. The car I pulled my parts from had all of the glass busted and the wiper arm was mangled. I searched around and tried arms from a KIA Spectra- perfect fit on the stud but arm was too long, a Dodge Caliber- waaay to short, and finally a Mazda MPV minivan. The MPV arm fits perfectly with a 17" wiper blade. There was a Ford Windstar next to the MPV and the wipers looked exactly the same. So.. if anyone needs a Festiva rear wiper, try one from an MPV or Windstar.
I also installed the speed sensor for my cruise control. My Festiva now has perfectly functioning cruise control.
Oh, and I'm at 230 miles and half a tank. Doing good there, too.

You sir are my new hero! I'd been checking all kinds of hatchbacks for a month now and still hadn't found what I was looking for for the wiper motor that I bought without an arm on it. I'll get an mpg one new time I'm at the yard! do you remember what year or body style mpv? Was it the kind that has our int wiper stalk and mirror switch?

                            • Sorry. I didn't pay attention to the year. It was cold and the yard was about to close.
It was square bodied. I don't really mess with MPVs since they have very few parts in common.

                              • Just waiting on the escort master cylinder to come in. Other than that she runs and moves on her own I still have some mounting brackets to make in the bay but no biggie should be done tomorrow sometime. These pics are before I have buffed the car so it looks good now, it's going to look amazing when it's done. But I don't plan on doing that until sometime after the Florida meet. But who knows maybe I will get it done. My buffing wheel let go after 4 yrs so I have to pick up another.... Lame!

Also it needs a bath I haven't washed it since its been home. It's never ending....
