          - Cleaned it inside and out in preparation to take it to the paint shop
          - Took some pix of some possible stripe options for the new paint job
          - Dropped it off at the paint shop for a fresh coat; won't see it again for about a week and a half
          - Bought 4 new tires (Nexen N3000 195/45ZR/15)

          Cheers!

Ah, ok. What are the Florida registration fees?

Texas is about $70 per year plus $15 title fee on first registration. Sales tax on Aqua was $28. Plus a $50 delinquency fee for not registering within 30 days of purchase. Total was $176.

Inspection was $40. It an annual thing and all PreOBDII cars less than 25 years old must pass emissions testing.

Is there an annual renewal on the registration?

Alberta is about $85 a year for registration/plate renewal. However, if you have any unpaid parking or photo-radar (yes we have photo-radar) tickets those have to be paid first.

                  • Looking to get my car on the road as well before I do the swap, it'll be much easier to pass emissions as is. It needs brakes at least as far as safety is concerned othewise it's in good condition. Just rotors + pads.

                    • The $400 is only for a new plate luckily. I think it was about $160, with only $30 of that being sales tax.

I added a new "Radio" today. Haha.

The radio he gave me with it had no face plate, and he also threw in another with no wiring harness... I'll get a real one soon, but this looks better than a whole with a bunch of wires hanging out.

                      • Now watch that get stolen...

Today I have Rain Xed all the glass on my vehicles.
I love that stuff, especially on my 93 because I can't use the wipers on the highway due to a bad driver's side cowl mount.

I also used Aqua to jumpstart my Ram. The truck didn't like the below freezing temps this morning.

If you are interested I have two headunits for sale. One is super cheap. Just a CD player one. The other one is an Alpine with an iPod hookup.

Gurry, what are you planning for the back that you removed the bolsters? I have been thinking of doing a sort of truck bed.

                              • Huli, imagine all the Festivas that people have made into a truck. Now imagine one of those trucks without a roof. That's what I'm goin for.
