    • How do you suppose a locking connector became unlocked?
If the plastic locking tang is missing, you will need to relase the terminals with an extractor and snap them into another connector from the junkyard.
Double check fan operation. Turn the ignition key and remove the connector from the switch in the thermostat housing. If it works, let's hope nothing else is damaged from the overheat.

      • Drove mine across the state for camping yesterday, replaced a tire that failed in the sheetz parking lot, let her watch the wife and I camp and fish. Went across some mountains and met up with Blueoval to get a 4 speed. Righteous dude, we talked for an hour or so, wife and I tried to convince him come to madness. Came back across the state and she is watching us fish right now.

          • (Saturday)....fixed a waaaaaaay annoying rattle in my muffler system. Actually turned out to be a thin protective plate that fits around the bottom of the catalytic converter. Had been rattling when in idle for quite some time. Felt like a freaking hero after I got it fixed! htd

                • Rhodestiva, congratulations on the slotmachine.gif7th post on this thread. You lucky broken alternator bracket guy.

Actually, the summary shows that I did the 7th reply to the original post. Should I place a bet on FIFA or the NHL?

BTW, the right rear axle nut comes off clockwise!

                              • I popped out all of the engine compartment A/C spade terminals from their connectors one by one, wire Dremelled them and reinserted them. The best way to get them out is with the red handle Summit extractor, inserted from the rear.

After testing all four squirters, I have decided to go with the low profile, three nozzle Smart squirter. I found my vacuum gauge today while searching for my letter drill bits. I need a Y bit for the .401" diameter squirter and then file out some squares top and bottom to align and insert it.
