Yep yours is stuck. It should just screw right off. Grab it with both hands and give it a death grip. Twist as hard as you possibly can. It'll come off.
if u cant get it to turn and dont mind a coupke dings in the knob, take a channel locks or any bigger tyle pliars and try that. keep in mind leverage is your friend.

you know those sockets that remove stripped nut heats. I'd guess a 50mm size and use your 4 foor breaker bar. That don't work, burn it off. fire! fire!
