So 750>750 tranny>Festiva tranny, like that? Just trying to clear that up.

Yes, it's possible. No, it wouldn't be a benefit at all, because it wouldn't be 10 synchronous gears, it would be 25 ranges. (Assuming the other engine has a 5 speed transmission).

Your best bet would be to run the stock transmission into a hard mounted diff and split that into the wheels. Use a subie rear diff, that'd be easy enough.

I guess if one planned on towing with it, it would be good, but empty you would skip 3/4 of your gears. We have a '63 Freightliner with two 4's, empty you don't even need the 1st gear in the main tranny. Although going through multiple gears in reverse is always fun !!

I think I am just going to go with my original idea and make a solid chormoli axle for the rear and set a yamaha r1 over it and make the car rear wheel drive and pull stock motor and granny out and build it into a box and run vaccum breaks wont take to many mods I will do it

Cool! Chopping out the spare tire well and boxing out the rear takes a lot of ingenuity, but it'll make an absolutely awesome Festiva! Couple questions from me, because I love reading about motorcycle builds:

                    1. What are your plans for motor lubrication and chain work?
                    2. Fuel cell mounted up front? What about the battery?
                    3. Radiator and cooling? Cabin heating in the winter?
                    4. Modifying the engine at all to improve TQ output?
                    5. Any changes to the front suspension to reflect weight distribution?
                    6. Are you going to run an electric reverse gear?
                    7. Any modification to wheel wells for tire width and grip?
                    8. What do you expect it to weigh in at when finished?
                    9. Megasquirt or what in terms of EMS?
                    10. What's your solution for electronics, alternator, and so on?

                      Snowmobile engine??
                      has reverse
                      has turbo
                      has alternator
                      works well with solid axle
                      EMS aftermarket well established
                      use snowmobile battery.
Use snowmobile handle bars and brake less weight
Put the skis and track back on for winter use

-Plans for the motor yamaha r1
-Yes fuel cell up front where the b3 was
-Battery I plan on placing in a fabbed box near the hatch for easy access
-Radiator I plan on using the r1 radiator as for heat ill have to figure as I go but that won't be hard probably tap into the stock r1 radiator
-As for torque i plan on putting a set of cams and intake work
-As for front suspension I lowered it and adding some homemade lead weights to help difference
-No reverse that's only down fall "Flintstone" lol
-Tubbing and adding a set of 12" wide slicks
-Weight I am goin to shoot for same at first then lightening begins
-Electronics I plan on running the r1 alternator and my current battery smallest possible for b3 and go from there I will have a 10 gallon fuel cell I am going to use the wireharness and gauges for r1

Look up 650cc Geo Metro on Google. It's been done. Hopefully that will work out any kinks you might have.

I hope you don't take offense to this and i'm not trying to sound like an ahole, if you can't get the carb right in your car to get better mpg, you'll have a heck of a time with a mc engine swap. I'd like to see it done, but is it realistic?
