That's the route I am thinking of going on my project car, mounted in the same location as Aaron and Charlie have done with their cars.
Nice. Didn't know one that small existed for a car. Thanks.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

^That's how my Neon was. Very annoying when you need a jump. I'd do remote terminals in the bay if i did that again.

          Charlie's

          Aaron's

Sadly the Miata battery does not out-perform a similarly sized lawn tractor battery. they are used in the Miata in
the trunk, so are of small size and set-up for remote venting. The Miata battery is poorly suited in the Miata or
the Festiva in southern Arizona, it cannot support both the cooling fans and the A/C system at low sustained RPM
          ( like in stop-and-go traffic ) In the '04 MazdaSpeed it's hopeless.
Everyone out here has and uses A/C (except the insane and the Hell Hounds)
On the other hand, wo/ A/C, in a cooler climate
or in a track car ( few electrical loads ) either will work just fine. But my wholesale on the prem. Miata battery is
$119.75 and I use them anyway. BTW, the hottest track set-up is that great little battery Charlie found for $69
but I can't remember what it is!
Pick your poison, but it is hard to justify the expense of the Miata battery except in a situation that requires
          a remote vent.
          No car too fast !
