Looks like the Festy distributor to me. That's how my B6 is, I just used the disty, cam and rockers, intake and carb, and every other bracket and part from the
festy except the exhaust manifold. you should probably get a Rocketman carb adapter and either an '81 to '86 Escort carb or a Weber 32/36 DGEV. I just switched from a Weber to an Escort carb and in my opinion, Escort carbs are better. You will definately get more power than with that original POS.Last edited by zoe60; 06-04-2014, 08:11 PM.

hey that was my next topic how to get rid of all that egr crap and vacuum stuff on the firewall. But today i noticed a different problem I'm thinking with the distributor maybe ignition module once it gets warmed up it runs horribly sputters and misses badly trouble starting while warmed up ect. By chance where would i find one of these rocketman carb adapters you speak of zoe60?

Sounds and looks a lot like mine, but I have a completely stock '88 LX. Problems are even similar. Looking at dizzy rotor, does it look like there's marks from arcing? Once upon a time replacing that was enough to fix my issues.
