    No problem, man

I left the inside fin of mine black on my blue car.
I'll have to get some pictures up of it on the car soon.
I'm still up in the air as to whether I like it on the car or
    not.

Here's a crappy iphone picture of it off the car:

The neat thing about the fully blocked off grille is that if painted to match, you could swap for winter.

I think the big ticket parts would be custom engine mounts for the common swaps and a stock pile of OEM parts from 4green like window seals, door seals, grille clips etc just to name some..... That would be where I would start if I wanted to open a FMS replacement store
ROFL: endless overflow of pointless unrealistic brain farts

Custom engine mounts are in the works. They will be high quality and I will test fit them before selling them. I have all of the engine and tranny combinations in my shop, so a test fit shouldn't be a problem. (that includes B8, BP, B6T, KL, G-series, and F-series). Premade wiring harness are in works too for those who will be needing those for swaps. Cores will be needed for those, though.

Appreciate the list of common wear items. Need to know what's in demand so I can start hunting them down.

I'd be all for it. When I first got into Festivas, I ordered a few 'normal' parts from FMS; he closed down before I could order the parts I wanted vs. needed. Custom mounts, grills, sideskirts, bumpers. Mainly the things that bring a Festiva (to someone shopping for one) up to a Hon-duh standard. Though a lot of Honda people destroy cars, they put a lot of money into things they can modify.. uh.. easily? Without junkyarding, maybe. Open a Festiva shop that acts like a Honda shop, you'll be sure to have some people ordering.

            Also maybe stud conversion kits.

This sounds like a good plan. I would add rear coilovers, to eliminate clearance issues with regular struts; or at least to set up with the suppliers a strut (VW for example) and various spring rates and/or lengths for different applications. This will be a low-sale item, so I wouldn't expect you to try to stock this stuff.

With such a small and low-buck population, this effort has to be done very intelligently to make sure it makes a profit. Lotsa people will tell you what they would like you to stock, but then don't buy, so you can't put a lot of money into inventory. Mounts and harnesses you can make on-demand. Some of the most-requested FourGreen stuff would be nice, but I wouldn't stock anything that people could get from Rock Auto or elsewhere. Not worth it to invest a lot in inventory just to save the purchaser a couple of bucks; and it's really pointless to do so at the same or higher cost to the purchaser. Rock Auto can get discounts from the manufacturer that you can't, because they buy so much.

As others have said getting people to actually buy the stuff may be a problem. But if you're not trying to get rich doing it, and willing to spend the time and upfront costs, it'd be great.

I've often considered making things for Festiva people but just figured the money isn't there.

Rough prices of things I've made/considered making
Full set of coil overs with Neon fronts, VW rears, ~$850
                B6t/BP+G15 mounts: $350
Rebuilt steering racks: $50 (+ core)
Flush mount front clear turn signal kit (engraved with "festiva") $30
XR2 int shaft mount for BP: $50
                Miata booster adapter $20

I think putting together a lug stud kit would be popular as well!

Roger meant well and enthusiastically went forward (15 years ago?) commercially with trying to turn a dollar from searching/sourcing/supplying aftermarket and performance parts for Festys. Despite the personal zeal it didn't take him long to discover that the type of folks that buy 'cheap', 'used' and 'disposable' and 'non-Mainstream econobox' cars are mostly unappreciative cheapskates seeking out 'getting something for nothing' stuff.
He'd have been a heck of a lot better off supplying 'oddball' stuff to Ferrari owners, making body panels for early Mustangs and Camaros, or sourcing out for anything but KIA goodies.
If someone here really feels confident that they can attempt to fill his shoes then please do your homework and also make sure to call him first.

I would like to see a "Vendors" forum here, where people who want to make and sell parts or services can advertise there. Each vendor would have a thread that would offer his services in the first post, and he would have the ability to alter that post as circumstances changed, not just for 1/2 hour as is normal now. (Or they can send a revised script to that forum's Moderator to paste in.) This should be a whole new forum, not one under For Sale or another forum. So nonamekid could have a thread there, skeeters_keeper could, shadetree, eurotiva, etc.

IIRC clock bezels through Four Green where like $4 dollars but they had none, so I hope your project goes well and I like the idea of the clear timing covers like the old Ford 427 cam engines had. Any thoughts of a clear valve cover or would you need to build a bigger box.
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Id like to see an option for carbon fiber grills, either wrapped or full on

                            Same thing with hoods
b6D bits: Cam gears, clear timing covers, intake manifolds that move them from over the valve covers.
                            coilover!!!!
                            Delrin bushings
                            fender flares
spoilers like the big ones on the civic hatches
                            escort brake boosters
                            braided brake lines
                            big brake kits.

                            On the grill subject:
There is a kei car with a solid front plate that is similar to ours. Check it out,you all probably love it
                            Fast....Women are fast
                            Quick...Nestle is quick

                            I Speak French....in German! lol.

I think the tricky part with the grille will be mounting it if it is done in fiberglass or carbon fiber. I will look into it and see if can figure out a solution.

Thanks for the list MiltonHavic. Lists like this is what I need.

It will be a little slow going here for the next couple months as I start lining stuff up. I hope to have some stuff by the middle of December with the list growing into January.
