  • What have you done with your exhaust?

Kind of curious on how people went about their exhaust. After doing my efi swap I need to do something about my very restrictive carb exhaust, or it seems restricting.

2" pipe, glass pack in place of cat, turbo muffler in back in place of regular muffler. This is on my 90L b6d car.

          '93 B3 - FMS header , 2" pipes , resonator , turbo muffler.
It was too buzzy without the resonator.
          It drove me crazy-er.
If it don't fit, use a bigger hammer!

I intend to go the double resonator route. The double-flanged front resonator shall be replaced every two years for a half day's emission test with a double-flanged cat (of the exact same length). Then, 2" OD pipe all the way back from the headers.
Then I will turn the screws out on the Mikunis.

Thankfully there is no emissions test where I live. My supervisor said when he lived in California with a truck that had basically no exhaust was find a shady looking garage and look for a guy named José and pay him an extra $20.

Also did you all get custom headers done? Did you go to a local exhaust shop for them?

Aspire Header,no CAt, 1 3/4" all the way to a 1 3/4" Super Trapp Muffler. My favorite exhaust to date. Very quiet at idle and mid range, sounds like a Bike after 3500 RPM.

Well got done with mine today got a replacement muffler from O'Reilly auto parts. Smashed out catalytic converter and replaced the pipe after the manifold with an efi one due to the egr pipe. Its nice and quiet I love it and the exhaust flows very well in what I can see with it.

That's not a local exhaust shop kind of thing. You don't have allot of options for the b3, interested in a one off intake manifold?

No it wasn't. I wanted to see if I could do it myself. Worked out great. Just need something to keep it quiet until I either turbo or do an engine swap.

One off, like not mass produced, intake manifold, the other side of the engine from the exhaust
