No. I know the kit that's in it comes with 3 different nozzles. He might have put a bigger one on it by mistake. Either way I need to raise the boost switch psi and look at a new nozzle

Sounds like your methanol nozzle might be puddling. If is coming on too early in higher gears, there might not be enough airflow yet. Do you know what size it isOriginally posted by mikemounlio View PostI found a car show but was to late to enter. I quickly had my own show around me! I already have my front suspension and enkeis on it. I will need to trade my achrilles for some 205 r888 tho. The stock brakes were scary at over 100+ Got my 03 rio swap on it now. The enkeis look great on it.
It stall out under full load in thrid. Ill havr to dig into that issue more.
i catch up to a 5.0 and rev at him and the dud looks over and has a good laugh. He punches it and thinks hes gone. I was in 2nd and just in boost. I blew past him with easy. At the next light i got nothing out of him. Not even a single look my way.
I for sure want to go to a 2554r or a 2560 turbo tho. 4th and 5th pull but not enough. Ill need some more power.
What a joy!

Had a blast today! Lucifer is one nasty ride. When it hooks up in 2nd its kinda intimidating. Im used to bikes being fast but not really fast cars. I have to do some on the fly tunning and rewiring but the car RUNS! The name Lucifer fits perfectly. The car is just mean and nasty!
I got the chance to show up a couple mustang gt's, other mazda's, a G6, and a truck.
When she bites in 2nd it gets nuts. I didnt have the water meth running. Its set to come on at 4psi. Down low i can fell it on or off. but once in thr upper gears it floods the motor. So i have it off until i can get a new 10psi switch.

The day I drove it we were on back roads, but in abnormally heavy traffic so as not to have much "open road". But to sit behind that familiar dash( I bought mine new) and be pinned to the seat under acceleration was mind blowing. I was a teen in the 60's and have ridden in/driven all sorts of muscle cars, strong running cars are no novelty, but that cars was as quick as any I had experience with. Jumped from 3k to 6 k before you could reach for the shifter.Originally posted by mikemounlio View PostHow did it drive?!

It is a long explanation if you want the science of how a turbo system actually works. A proper valve should be open whenever the intake manifold is under vacuum. This means (more than your blowing off) your drawing air through that valve. Since you have a VAF monitored L jetronic based fuel injection system, you need all incoming air to be measured by your VAF meter. If the air is blown off or drawn through an unmetered orifice (your bov) then you are causing a lean or rich condition.Originally posted by mikemounlio View PostI have thought about the blow off going back into the system for faster spool times but i think its going to be enough as is.
What would be the other benefit to recirculating?
There are many many more benefits to a properly designed diverter setup, but I don't have time to explain it again. Blow off valves are archaic and should be thrown in the garbage. Proper systems divert.
The g series trans requires the engine be moved about 2" further forward to clear the steering rack. Also the drivers side frame rail needs to be pounded to clear the tranny if you don't want your engine to be all crooked. This all takes a lot of work. The engine being further forward means that nothing in front fits anymore. You'll need to move the radiator forward, and get creative with a fan and other things that all try to go in the same spot. It's much more involved than an E series car.Originally posted by bhearts View PostWhy's the e to g upgrade so difficult.

That was my thing ! The false info !
But all in all it's worth what you wanna pay so be it !
The side exhaust looks awesome I think . If you move the exhaust back to normal I would leave that pipe there .
Just make a dummy set up and save the fresh painted fender .

I will find out! If needed im not afraid to go to some bolt on fenders. Would just have to work around that side exhaust.
or maybe just raise the car with in the front enough to run them then drop it back down for daily.
