Also, you'll want to set that blow off up as a recirculating system and not open air like that. Trust me.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to fit those tires under the car with the coilovers, since they lower the car a couple inches. I hope you can because nt01 tires are awesome. Watch out around corners though with those nt01 tires on front and regular street tires out back. The car is going to be extremely tail happy.

I just want a good looking fastish festiva that i can enjoy daily. This car fits the bill for me. Its within my price range. Its done. Ill put my rims and tires and suspension on it tho. Ill keep the tires on it but trade the rims for some 4x100 that will fit my brake swap.

i should have the car late late tonight. Ill have it titled tomorrow and drive it. Pictures to come.

panasport copy wheels 114.3 so must be stock brakes. I would send to shadetree for aspire swap especially if autocrossed & not worry about the tranny.

I sold the car for 3k and like Charlie says looks like another 1k for paint. this is for a pretty quick rust free car with 200 hp or so. it runs in the high9s in the 1/8 mile with street tires. id lot rather have this car than a faster rusted out pos that will be scrapped one day.

the e series with the spec stage 2 clutch has really taken some abuse & its still doing ok. all you have to do when you want to step up to a gseries is to send it to shadetree and hes 100percent honest. or just drive it like it is and have fun with it. there is some guys on here that have over 2k just in a paint job and it shows. there is something fun also with a rough looking festiva that's super fast but for me ill go with the supernice paint & killer looks.

jerrys car has it all(except paint) so far but gonna be wicked fast and clean also you mentioned euro it is the best of both but for sure that car would b lots more$$ just like mikes car both fast and super clean. just enjoy it for what it is a beautiful car that fools lots of people

To me, it's not about the price - a car (or anything) is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. So this one seems to be worth about 4300.

It's that the guy lied about what's in the car - there is a big difference between a G series swap and a stock e-series, doesn't matter if it's in a $100 car or a $100k car, it's false advertising, and that's what gets me.

I think most swapped festy's should be worth way more than they go for, and I know I can't do a swap for someone and make money. I've tried, it doesn't work, and I won't do it again (but I'm all about helping people do swaps just to hang out and wrench, I just go into it knowing I'm not making money and then it's OK!).

Mike you got a nice car with a clean shell and a good swap. I'm just sorry you were lied to, but you're taking it better than I would have!

The way I see it is, try to find a car for under 5 grand that will do what a b6t festiva will do. I have been building road race cars for 20 years and I've never seen anything like this. These cars are true supercars. If Ford had built a limited production b6t powered festiva in 1990 then they would be extremely valuable today. I wouldn't doubt that they would fetch nearly 60 grand at auction here in Scottsdale. Why do I say this? Ever try to buy an Escort cosworth or an RS200? These cars don't come close to performing like a well prepped festiva. The motorsport world would be a different scene if a manufacturer produced something like this. Those were my exact thoughts as I passed a lotus exige in my b6t festiva. Proof that Ford almost had something great.
Ford may have missed the mark, but there are a select few enthusiasts worldwide who didn't. Some of those enthusiasts have dedicated time to building what Ford didn't dare to. Rob is one of those builders. He does fine work, and the cars be builds seem to hold up well. These cars should increase in value as time goes on. B6t engines get harder to find each year and so do clean Festivas. This isn't just some clapped out old econobox. To some of us, it's a legend that never got its chance.

Agreed Mike..quit justifying for spending your money as you wish. The Festiva community needs to belly up and put some good money into good builds or they will forever waller in the 500 dollar club. Same thing with the GTX...someone goes the limit to put together a nice car and the shitboxes out there still pull the value down..raise the bar as these cars are hitting the wreckers now in a big way...soon to be gone..then the great cars will command the price.

That leaves 2200 for a swap, wheels and tires (it has 400 dollars worth of rubber on the front alone) and interior. That's not a bad deal at all. I couldn't do a swap alone for less than 5k, just to put things in perspective.
Thanks for the insight! like i said im ok with the price. I cant build to this quality at this time so the price is what it is. If i was able to do the work thats a different story.

Ouch. I can't believe someone would take advantage of another like that... some people.

Mike, as others have said, other than the wiring harness you're starting from scratch trying to swap in a G series. I've done it (B6t/E to b6t/G) and you'd be better off starting stock. It's your car, but I'd keep that one as is (with the e-series) since it's a nice looking clean swap, don't beat on it too hard and with good suspension you might get a while out of the trans, then swap another e series when it blows. Build another car with b6t+g. It's just not worth the trouble when that one is already functioning ok.

I have a g trans mount kit from shadetree! To git it to work i would need to remount the battery and air box, do the core support custom mount my 2 core radiator honda unit. That much i can handle!

Guys im an engineer not a fabrication guy. Im still working on my skills. I cant make a car thats this nice yet! It will help me in the long run- one mans trash-anothers treasure.

I tried to buy eurotiva! When i was ready to buy he would not get back to me.
