The stock Festiva wiper motor has three mounting holes inside the rear hatch. Unfortunately, because of the slope of the hatch, the factory punched hole is an ellipse, which is perfectly positioned. There is no room to put the motor higher unless you are prepared to do major surgery (cutting + mig welder). I have an 89 rear hatch from Georgia which does not have a rear wiper option. I am going to attempt to cut an ellipse on it using a Detroit car's hatch as a template. Good luck.
