Started the car this morning, went to the gym, came home got into other festiva to goto storage, return to a car that wont start.

No spark @ plugs or coil.

Have never had this problem before. Really would like to figure this out so I can have my car back.

i would see if the injectors are firing, if they are maybe you have a bad coil? if the injectors arent firring either, then maybe a bad ignition switch?

Pull the cap to see if rotor spins. No spin=timing belt.

might want to check your fusible links on the drivers side close to the battery, little box with 3 looped wires in it. this sounds like the problem i had with my last festy,it would just crank and crank. just move them around a little bit,and see if they look/feel brittle and try to start again. good place to start as well as the others mentioned. good luck

Hopefully replaced fusible links with cartridge fuses.
Good place to start, because its nearly free to do so, but think FB71 maybe right about distributor, bet specifically it is the igniter

My coil wire has a bad habit of coming out. Check to see it is firmly insterted into coil and cap. Will also have to pull boot back.

Studebacker's right, I've had that happen once!
Just popped off, and couldn't determine why it wouldn't start.
Then I saw the primary coil wire just hanging below the master cylinder, plugged it back in and good to go!
