ahhhh factory ac looks like from a carb car only 2 prong pressure switch right? it should still work on efi

start with installing evap box its a pain or the worst part engine bay is cake might have to tap the dirt out of holes to mount compressor and tensioner bracket

write back quick if you have any questions ive put 3 different ac systems on carb-factory dealer-efi and factory efi FL heat

Are you talking about the 2 prong switch on the hard line?
I am taking apart the dash right now.
Thank you for helping me! I will probably have questions over the next couple of days. I know it's a big job for anybody. Bigger for me. How can I tell if it was running 12 or 134? It's drooling brown oil from the evap box.

you shouldn't have to take apart dash just take glove box out and pull all the delete style brackets and pipes and fresh/interior air selector box

and yes on the hard line you have r12 fittings on there you have to grab an adapter kit from auto part store for r134 a

you could do it in like 2 hrs if everything goes smooth

you can also just pull radio or cup holder whatever u have in that din spot so u can run wiring behind there

How about the crank pulley? Shouldn't be too hard to find a v-belt one for a small nose crank, but I don't see it in your pic there. Its not that bad, especially since you have all the parts. Even the one I did for Amanda on her blue car wasn't a total nightmare and I had to use a compressor from a 323, a BP crank pulley (because it was a '93 festiva) and the lines were I think a hybrid of festiva/323 when I got done with it. Took me an afternoon and a saturday till 4, but that included an trip to the pick and pull to find parts I didn't have. Since its all in front of you there shouldn't too much trouble, but like skimsucka said, if you have a problem let us know Gonna need that AC for the trip this weekend, I gotta the the unit in Babystiva charged up this week too.
          No festiva for me ATM...

OK,I have questions now. I have the dash out. I have the evap box in. And connected. I made a new foam seal for the right side ... eh... thing as the old one disintegrated. I have the wiring harness connected to the evap box. I see where 3 plugs go onto the hvac controls. Now I have 3 plugs that I don't know where they plug. I have one plug to plug to and and two plugs that can plug to it. They are 4 prong. And I can't find a place for the 3 prong. And there is the denso box. Anybody know where to mount that?

All the plugs. The 3 on the left need a home. The 2 four prong females need mates.

And this 4 prong male is home to one of them I guess?

                  And where does he live?

                  Thanks!

ok below i got pics of the pulley you need

your plugs should match up to the empty plugs on the left upper side of the blower box

the lil black box usually has one mounting screw and it slides underneath very bottom of blower box assembly

Awesome. Thanks for the advice! I'm back on it. I got the dash out in about an hour I guess. I'm pretty proud of that. I wish my wrenching skills were on par with my singing skills.
But so far it's going pretty good. I'm headed back to look for the plugs. I feel like they're not there.

Here's the pulleys and spacers in order from the TB out.

1: right up against the timing belt, easily identified (unless its been well cleaned) by the imprint of the timing gear on the back of it.

2: the next on on the list, looks like the outermost one except its very thin

                            3: the alt/wp pump

4: spacer between the two pulleys (identified by the rounded "notch" instead of the square notch on the other two)

                            5: the A/C pulley

6: the outer ring, looks like #2 except its much thicker

Hopefully this helps, they will all be in the mail tomorrow, along with the longer bolts.
                            No festiva for me ATM...
