bhazard don't know of what he speaks.... all festys are OBD-1.
first thing to check is to see if your camshaft rotates by looking in the oil fill hole, then itf it rotates, check to see if you have spark to the distributor cap from the coil. if you have spark, verify your cam timing and belt condition by pulling the timing belt cover (4 10mm bolts). if you DON'T have spark, check that your coil has power to it and then verify that the coil windings are good (continuity test via a multi-meter).
if the coil tests good and you have power to it and the timing belt is in good shape and the cam timing is correct, then i would suspect that the ignition control modual in the distro has gone bad. the last thing to check then would be to pull the air filter lid off and have someone hit the gas for you as you look down the barrel, you should see a sharp stream of fuel flowing into the half closest to you. if you dont see/smell fuel, check that the pump is working (pull the line going to the carb and crank the engine. have hose going into a cup to capture the fuel, this keeps the mess low and allows you to monitor the fuel flow.
do it in the order i gave you and you should easily find the problem.
