Right now I have a single 25 inch Cherry Bomb glass pack, no cat and straight pipe, and a 2.25 inch down pipe exiting out the side and it is too loud. Does anybody know if I put another glass pack in line if it will significantly reduce the sound level? I am thinking of installing a shorter 2.00 in/out glass pack to add a "little" back pressure.

im running 2 glass packs and mine is pretty quiet... im also turbo BP thoughI know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!Comment

yes, adding a second, slightly smaller glasspack will significantly reduce the sound, and NOT add very much backpressure. There's a whole description of the physics of fluids and flow as to why, but I'll save that for another time.Jim DeAngelis

They used to add glasspacks to replace the cat(s) on the mustangs at the racing schools. Made them sound really aggressive but not deafening.1993 GL 5 speed

i may have to try this mines to loud for my taste. i have a resonator and a dtm and even with the resonator its too loud for me.-90 festiva - bp swap "relentless" (thanks matt) aspire swap, pacesetter, underdrive pulley

I use a GP in place of the resonator and a cheapo turbo muffler. Sounds pretty good, I think.Jim DeAngelis

TWO 18" Glass packs
How do you guys think two 18" glass packs will sound? I want to eliminate the cat & just go with two packs. I just dont want it too loud.Some people like to read fiction,I prefer to read repair manuals. Weird I know-

Yeah turbos make great mufflers!! It worked great to quiet down my noisey exhaust on my element
