  • Radiator ?

I believe Justiva the justifiable Festiva may be done for. Today I checked the coolant. And what did I find? Low on coolant and a white milky liquid in it and around the radiator cap.
    What might this be?

Head-gasket replacement doesn't mean your festiva is "done for".
It's a relatively straight forward process and can be accomplished by a novice in a full day.
Provided, you don't have issues with corroded fasteners.

What parts do I need to purchase? How much cost am I look at? Should I try and do it myself? And do I need a helper?

A head gasket set for your car in your area at Advance Auto is around $100. A novice should be able to do this job by himself in a day. For $100, I would definitely attempt this, and not let Justiva go by the wayside.

No, but you will need to replace them when you do the head gasket, if that is the issue.

It is possible you just have coolant leak, but if after you clean out the radiator the milky liquid returns in same or similar volume, then likely a head gasket.
                        Are you losing oil too?

Wipe out the milky liquid refill with coolant and see how long before it returns, if it returns.

I've been losing oil since I've had the car in March. But it was never in radiator.
Do I need head gasket set or just head gasket

you're going to be taking apart places that have gaskets in them that can't be resealed properly with the old gaskets. the gasket set is the best way to go.

is this your only car? period? have anyone that can give you a hand with it? Or possibly a ride to a machine shop or parts store if need be?

before you start getting into doing this yourself, which is never a bad idea btw, please do read the haynes manual for rebuilding your engine.
