  • Engine Wont Start

    i just replaced the fuel pump because i wasnt getting fuel pressure. apparently the fuel pump wasnt the problem, i go to start the engine i hear the starter engaging but engine dont start so i pull the fuel line going into the engine and it has no pressure its dry. what is my problem anybody know?

    Did you check your fuel pump relay. I think it is under your drivers side dash. It has a yellow plug on it.

      u might also check pressure before filter bad filter could have burned up your old pump

              what year is the car.....did you check the fuel cut out switch under the rear drivers side speaker?

                Should be able to turn the key and see if it makes a clicking sound. Can you hear the pump run when you turn the key on?

                    front side of left strut housing, 3 little wires in a plastic holder.
                    they have slip on connectors and little wires instead of fuses.
                    they pretty much power everything that matters.
                    check them carefully for corroded or burned slip on
                    or wire burned inside insulation.

                        Need to find out if there's power at the pump. If there's not, then I'd check for power at the relay. +1 on the fusible link things too, those will mess it all up.

                          ok how do i check if theres power at the pump am i gonna need a multimeter?

                            Just turn key in run position and meter the pump maybe have someone else turn key on and off and listen to pump. Coil could be bad if you have power at the pump can meter that also.
