can anyone help me out here and maybee tell me why my dome light dont come on when i open up my driver door. it does on my passenger side... i took out that little switch on the bottom and replaced it with two others from my parts car, and still nothing... any ideas?

Try spraying the switch with WD-40 or electrical contact cleaner? If you have a volt meter or test light you can check if the wire is live.Last edited by WmWatt; 03-16-2012, 10:20 PM.Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.

that switch is a ground switch, it needs to have a clean contact to the chassis to make it workTrees aren't kind to me...

car. Back where most of you are this probably rusts and makes a bad electrical

I give the light a good smack, Probably not your problem but the way those bulbs sit in they can bounce weird and get a poor contact surface.Owner of:
