I think I may have discovered the cause of the squeak. I was checkinv things a little more and noticed that I had the spring for the timing bekt tensioner on the wrong way. If appears that the back edge of the timing belt was rubbing against the spring which in turn put some pressure on the belt, trying to push it off the sprockets.
I will put everything back together in the morning and see if the squeak is gone.
