Start it up in the dark at night and look for arcing around the motor wiring.

It might help to wipe down the ignition wires and distributor cap. I do that 1-2 times a year.

If you have a vacuum guage it will reveal missing. See the fixed postition article at the top of the forum.

I've tried everything but when I unplug fuel injector #1 nothing happens but the others it changes idle. Maybe the injector is bad.

do a compression test, if thats good then run some seafoam in your fuel. if your injector is plugged bad enough you can clean it by using a 9 volt battery to open it and soak it with carb cleaner.

I had the same problem on one of my Festy's. I pulled the injector and found that it was packed with sediment right in the end. Used a needle to clean it out and put it back in....ran like a top. I had let the original filter go for way to long and it just deteriorated to the point it was letting sediment from the tank all the way through. Put and in line filter after the original and that solved that. Not saying yours is like that but the do get clogged and they do stick.

Watched Arty at one of the Madness meets use a screw driver as a listening device (like a stethoscope) to see if he could here the injector opening and closing...he could not....but did on all the others. He proceeded to beat its brains in which unstuck it and smoothed the car right out.

:eeeeeek: He did that to an injector in front of everybody??

If cleaning an injector with a combustible remember to have solid

a jewelry ultrasonic cleaner for a day or so if you have one available.

so i cleaned my fuel injectors and reinstalled them. while installing i noticed near the transmission a plug was unplugged, so i found the other end plug it in and there was a ground attached so i grounded it and when i test drove it them shaking is gone but it did still back fire once so fuel injectors was not the problem i think. but it is running better and drivable now. yah
