PHEW! False alarm... I reached under there and did the jumper on the neutral safety switch and it still wouldn't start. That is when I noticed a thicker gauge black wire sticking out of the harness that is right there. It had clearly been cut by a former owner (I'm thinking it was a disconnect for either a remote start, or like an engine kill for an alarm.) The wire had about 6" of non-matching wire butt connected on each end. One of the butt connectors had come off. I looked up and saw and thought "No... Freaking... Way..." touched them together and it started right up. Runs better than it has in a month.

    Thanks for the help guys!

Different situation. A battery that is completely dead would not power the seatbelts, lights, stereo, etc like Gabe said is occuring.

Sorry, Gabe, can't help you. I've never even heard of a "neutral safety switch". I think I understand it's purpose (won't let the car start if the clutch isn't in?) but I have no idea where the switch is at. Let us know what the fix is.

        Edit:

I learn something new every day around here!

Thanks cool. I just wont post unless I know 100% of what it is.

oh you can post any scenario is good. i mean every one has had something similar happen but it is always something different because of all the custom stuff done to these cars.
