I mean all the spark plugs were out. Didn't touch throttle.

Do you have a vent to atmosphere on the valve cover?

Yes one of those little filters.

The only other thing i can think of would be bad valve guides when the timing was off a little. i might of cracked one or 3. so i might go head shopping the weekend.

Did you test with some oil in the CC to see if it is bottom or top end?

don't know how to do that? but can today.
do you just put a little oil in each cylinder through plug hole
then do the test again?

Yeah, before and after some oil in the cylinder. If pressure goes up with oil, rings are not sealing.

Dude you got plenty of time to rebuild that pig. I had to change a motor out a week before madness!

I think I am go int to remove head and oil pan and hit the pistons out that way no engine removal required.

Get a come alone and a chain and hook it to the rafters in you're garage and boom $25 engine hoist from Walmart
