Not too hard, still getting mine sorted before getting it charged. I should have changed the seals before installing it.lol

hypothetical if you buy a $300 Aspire that has complete cold AC is it worth it to try and use all of that system into a Festiva and if you need a few adapters for some hoses is it still worth it where is the slippery slope of money pit start

The components under the dash ..... How hard was that to install? Also the wiring, did you have to run your own wiring to get it to work? I'm not good with under the dash stuff.

What do you mean "should have changed the seals"?

Little o-rings are on the end of each pipe connector.

The under dash stuff is easy.

The connectors under the dash are just hanging there waiting for you to plug in.
You just have to remove the plastic duct tube and replace it with the condenser, then pop out the two firewall plugs and push on the rubber condenser drain elbow.
Most of the work is bolting on the compressor, evaporator, dryer, hooking up the hoses, routing the engine A/C harness, driving it in for a pressure test and charge.

                Sounds easy!

umm, the lower pulley on the engine. is it supposed to be a double pulley to carry the compressor belt too?

Well it is a pulley the bolts onto the crank pulley, so yes it makes it a double pulley, because the ac is driven off a completely separate belt

It's really not hard at all. I did it in the carwash parking lot by the vacuums in a few hours lol.

I live in a desert, no garage no shade. Don't judge.

I have a successful A/C install. I will be happy to give you pointers with your install. Be sure you have some good, sharp recip saw blades before you start.
