    What is the best dist cap and rotor to buy ?

    I'm thinking Bosch or Nippondenso. The Bosches are made in Japan BTW! Probably by ND.

      I'm using Bosch no problems.

          I'm running Standard ignition rotor and cap. The cap has brass terminals instead of the aluminum.

            Brass is better, yes? I think aluminum builds up resistance the more it's used, right?
            Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

              I think the aluminum are actually platinum coated? If you try cleaning the contacts you rub off the platinum and they are ruined. Happened to me on my last cap so was happy to see the brass contacts on the one I got from Standard.
              Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.
