what do you guys have your initial timing set at?

and can the ecm( engine control module/ computer) have any play into the advance being applied to the disty? if so will disconnecting the ecm stop the electronic advance(ICM) in the disty and then just rely on the vacuum advance?

What is a jy distributor? Are they the same as a Festy distributor?
