I'd like to see pics of the foundation building phases too. Sounds interesting! (I took 4 years of drafting in HS - I miss those days)

I had a chance to climb up the tower yesterday but we finally got our crane to a open spot after we were done with our part and I was able to play around with it for a couple hours. Im really liking this windmill stuff now. Were getting 75-80 hours a week, everything is slowpaced per the general contractors procedures. I just have a feeling once I get a good grasp on this wind mill thing, my company is gonna pull me off this job to send me on another:/
I also popped my windmill cherry today by tailling the spike(the last piece of the tower section.) Everyone was pleased with my performance. My operator told me he plans on having me running the crane so well by the end of september that all he'll have to do is call me from his house to find out what to put on his time sheet91GL, 93L, 91L, 92L

Great pics, Niklid!
These things are part of the future.
I hope to one day move into the boonies and build my own. Ahem, slightly smaller though!
Here's a link to a cool "DIY" site:
Everything from old "boys book of electrical stuff" to diesel generators--all to get you off the grid and as self-sufficient as possible.
Remember the great power outage from a few years back? Don't think it can't happen again!

The Gemesa towers are essentially a V80 - ours at the site are a medium to low wind tower - V82's
You'll go a long way being an opperator in the wind industry.
