or go to a paint shop and have them mix some clear with a little bit of black in it for you.

1993 Festiva L, aspire swapped, selling parts for a BP+T build.

personally i dont like the j-mags with stretches tires. or the red pinstripe. other than that the car looks great.

and those of you hatin on the motor.... give some respect where respect is due. honda has made tons of amazing motors.

I borrowed a friends civic for a couple days. It has a B16 (all motor with stock Honda internals), it runs 13.2 in the 1/4 mile. I would love to have that motor in a Festiva- would be just as fast as a modded b6t or bpt. Add a turbo or fully build the natrurally aspirated motor and have a reliable daily driven 12 second car. Festivas are cheaper than Hondas and Honda engines are so common (along with aftermarket parts) that building it should be the same price if not cheaper than building a mazda engine.

I did some searching and found a screen-name of 'gsr-festiva'. I don't belong to any of the forums he's on. I can't find any recent activity. Can anyone in California help get in contact with the owner?

a b16 swap where i live will run you around 2000 bucks, yes i know you can get them for cheaper but they are bagged missing vital peices and have a million miles on them.. and IMO, putting an egt motor in a festy is easier than putting a b16 in an eg/ek/ blah blabah blah... honda makes good engines, but if someone had that 2000 dollars invested into a mazda 1.8, it would be ALOT faster.

my b6ze with around 2000 bucks invested into the motor putting the total at 2500 is MUCHHHH faster then a b16 eg on the race track

dont get me wrong they are "good motors" but mazdas are greater

Also look at the other component of this swap, the honda transmission, Im sure it can stand up to wayyyyyyy more abuse than any g-series ever could. It also looks like a fairly easy swap, just weld up a few mounts, custom axles, and some wiring And you would have a festiva that absolutely ripped.

I'm sure a cryo'ed G series could take 500-600 plus. Easy. We have seen untouched g series hit 305 to the wheels already.

Also, Hondas usually get stolen... ALOT. That's one of the reasons why I kept away from them, especially when most of the motors on CL around here are hot.

I like the wheels and have thought about something like those if I can ever get a festiva. But I do think they look one size to big.

The RX7 swap isn't that hard actually. The mounts can be bought and I think there are wiring harnesses made now for it.
