  • My, Ahem, New Festiva!

    Here she is. Enjoy.

Interior Pics. Horn button in the ashtray.

Only two aluminums in the pic. The other two are in his shed. He'll call me when he finds them.

Seriously, the only spot of rust on the body I have found.

    Engine bay. Notice anything missing?

Tomorrow, she gets her oil + filters changed, and a good scrubbing. Shimmies a bit over 70 mph, but other than that, she runs, drives, brakes great. First car I've bought in a long time that I won't have to put a cd player in.

Well, that's it for now, gotta go to work.

Niiiice. I waaant it for my next project car, but I'll settle for one just like it eventually. I love black with the red stripe. You HAVE to replace the stripe on the driver side! I love it man!

Great find. Looks really complete/nice. Scrub it and drive the wheels off it. I'm jealous. If you need some efi parts let me know.

I see what's missing, all the vacuum switches and lines on the upper firewall plus the snorkel on the air cleaner. That's a nice festiva, the same color as my '89.

Thanks for pointing all that out for me Wes. Was more meaning all the vac. lines, sensors, charcoal canister, etc. But yeah, missing a few other things too. Think I'm going junkyarding in the morning, just to see what I can scare up, and save the clean up/maint. for the afternoon.

Brian- Heck yeah, it feels great to be driving one again. Was a bit worried that I might have forgotten how to drive a stick, but no worries.

Festyboy, no idea on the mileage. Was going to change the oil, fuel/air filters, and run a couple of tanks through her before trying to figure mpgs. Either way, still figure it'll get better mileage than the truck I sold to buy her.

Thered56, plan on hunting down stripes after hitting her with the $50 paint job. And yeah, she'll get a bat sticker (or two). At the very least, the one in the center of my sig. Kind of mandatory for all of my cars.

To quote the great Mater, I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park right now.
