This is so cool. B3T for about $200! Even if it only adds maybe 10 to 20 hp it is "bolt-on" and you don't have to take the engine apart.

Looks like plumbing, too! But that's okay.

Now if this can be refined and directions assembled for us average wrenchers, with an average cost of around $300, that would be way cool.

Could also be done to a B6 or B8, methinks?

You've got to isolate that pcv valve from the boost pressure or you'll start pressurizing the crank case, and the back sides of your pistons as well as blow oil out that open valve cover vent. Our stock pcv valve is not made to be used as a check valve which is what you really need. You can search "krankvent" and see that solution for ideas.
Also search "fm o2 signal modifier" (or voltage clamp) see what that's about for your knowledge base.
Consider picking up a copy of Corkie Bell's "Maximum Boost".
Very good job, and even greater initative!
You have now passed over from the ranks of "still just talking it",
to the very limited fraternity of "Done it". Welcome aboard

P.S. Get rid of that silencer, what are you tryin to be James Bond or something?

    B3 Turbo on a budget

    hey guys
I just recently put together a cheap turbo kit for my b3, cost all together was about $200 using junkyard and hardware store parts. The turbo is one of the ihi units off of a jdm twin turbo subaru 2.2. The setup is draw through vaf and non intercooled. Open downpipe for now. Stock injectors/fuel pump/regulator. Charge pipe is a radiator flex hose. Aspire manifold. I didn`t have a wastegate so I am using a small spring, holding ~5psi just fine. The car feels pretty quick and it was a fun build. Here are some pictures, I am not finished putting it back together, but she's running great.
