I know what you mean about the Miracle grow. I use a mister to water from the top, ( using rain water not tap water ) otherwise the stuff just floats. It gets better as it ages and has been watered several times. New it does seem to be waterproof. Its hard to grow some things from seed, lots of nuturing.

Good start. Only thing I got going is the garlic and shallots I planted last fall. We got an offer in on a house with .25 acre so if that goes well we will share all the fun pics. Gonna have 2 100 foot rows of raspberries and blueberries."Its not fast, but its fast for a festiva."

Seeded 2 flats of Impatiens, 1 flat with beefsteak tomatos/sweet 100 tomatos/peppers.
I think I'll do the other two flats with petunias and/or more impatiens.
One flat=72 cells
Which means I have an asinine amount of pepper/tomato plants even if only half of them germinate. LOL I only got one packet of each!

Good luck on all your DIY groceries everyone!
I'll be by for dinner in a few months and I'll bring the root beer. (Unless you brew your own.)

Finished an engine swap on a tiller. Used a hoe last year and the weeds about got ahead of me. I intend to stay on top of it this coming season.

I am failing in comparison. I've set mine out in the cold frame several days, which seems to be helping, at least on the warmer days. Hoping for a comeback. My sugar peas are ready to go out now. Tator planting on St Paddies day coming soon.sigpic

My cold frame is working good. It was 38 degrees outside when I put the thermometer in. Got to a high of 45 today but the sun was out.
