That area you tilled up will grow more than you'll be able to eat. Im going overboard. Preserving the produce becomes the problem. I learned a lot from last year. I be doing much more dehydrating this year. Its the best IMO for storage space , shelf life, nutritional valve, and taste. I bought a good dehydrator last year, wish I had another.Last edited by freshtiva; 03-07-2012, 08:48 PM.sigpic

Marcus, what are your thoughts on using a modded Festiva as a farm "workhorse" like a tractor, mower, etc? For someone who doesn't already have a tractor, could you use a modded Festiva for any of this farm work?
Feel free to start a separate thread on it if you wish.

Oh yeah, Im sure you could. My mind is racing. I know you could use one like a gator. I used booger like a golf cart running back and forth on the place for awhile. Im sure a festiva would adapt to many tasks.Originally posted by Safety Guy View PostMarcus, what are your thoughts on using a modded Festiva as a farm "workhorse" like a tractor, mower, etc? I was making some mini greenhouses until my plastic came up 6" short. I found a good way to secure the plastic to the PVC. I removed a piece from a section of 1/2 pipe and made a clamp out of it. Snaps on good and tight. I can mass produce them on the table saw.
