Planting some things today in a little plot I filled up with cow manure last year. Its near the house and will be easy to cover in case of a frost or freeze. Its on !!
Almost done planting!!! But I FORGOT to plant my pepper babies lol, gotta squeeze those in somewhere

Todays purchases: Four varieties of seed potatoes, three type of onion bulbs and two different types of onion sets and some shell beans. Ive got to cut up the seed potatoes and let them sit for a few days to scab over prior to planting in time for St Paddy day weekend. Oh yeah, bought some urea and triple super phosphate to get my soil up to snuff according to the Missouri Extension soil test.
No pain, no gain! Worst case, I can cover my tomatos, I probably spent less than $10 on the rest

I'll be planting all season, you dont want everything ripening at once. Stagger those planting. I spent the entire day on the garden and didnt plant a thing except some horseradish a buddy gave me.

I doubt I'll even be able to keep up with harvesting all of this, lol. By far more than I've ever done. Lots of learning this year.
