That would require a track! None really close to Calgary, however there is one in the works.... follow this link.

if I bring zippy, I would love to hide a camera in there to capture his reaction and all the things like "how the heck does this work?" and "what's this thing do?" lol... then also put in my racing bucket seat that's fixed in position for my height of 6 foot 6

Not sure I understand the "if" part, shouldn't that be "when"?

                !!!ONLY 38 DAYS TO GO!!!

This is one of my all time favorite Westiva photos....

My oldest son arrived really early and climbed, or more correctly scrambled, up the Wedge in order to take this shot. It was taken at the 2011 event and you can see the Festivas on the far right of the photo. Wedge Pond itself is on the left.

This shows approximately where Tyler took his photo:

Speaking of burgers.... one of my favorite places to go in Calgary is Peters' Drive In. Their shakes are definitely ranked high. I've been told that Boogie's has better burgers though, haven't been there myself so can't vouch for that. Peters' is right on the TransCanada Highway as you come through town from the east and Boogie's is only a few blocks away from there.

Please be sure to add your name to the list in this thread if you are joining us or even if you're just a maybe at this point. Sharon and I will be bringing a picnic lunch for those in attendance and we'd like to get an idea on how many we'll be feeding.

Looks like we may have writeups in the press both before and after the event! Can't give out many more details yet because I don't have any

htd Four weeks to go! htd

Long range weather is looking good. Temperatures for the day forecast for 21ş-26şC (69ş-79şF). Sun comes up at 5:41am and doesn't go down until 9:43 that evening! We're optimistic that this year will be the biggest yet!

Getting excited.... got to get some work done on the car though.

With the news writeups is it the same guy from the calgary metro paper?
You were on cbc radio last year about it right?
Its starting to look like my trailer wont be there. The 4 of us and the car still will be! But i just cant seem to get started again on this trailer. Was supposed to get going on it as soon as i finished up the car over a month ago but i cant seem to find motivation for some reason
I dont think it will be ready for the road in 4 weeks.
Was anyone planning to camp there friday night? We could still join people for that, just havent heard anyone else mention plans yet.

Write up will be by the same guy that did the write up for our madness trip back in 2011, Greg Williams. I'll post a link to the new article as soon as I can. Yes, I was on CBC Radio last year.

Not sure if anyone is camping in the area. I think Bob Kiddy is staying at the casino where you turn off the main highway.

I have reservations for Friday evening only because I have to start heading home on Saturday night.

I still do not have the B6 running so I will be driving Shelly's 91 (the same Festiva I drove to Madness in October 2016). I am trying to get some of the guys in the area to venture out some but so far only Ben has committed.
