I still may do remote, but in the engine bay if possible (dont know if it is). I will however use a small turbo such as a my ct9 off a toyota sarlet or my saab 900 turbo unit. Most likely I will buy a mani from ketchup though, Im still waiting for pics from him and I think it would be good to put them on this thread so we all can see.

oh yea one more thing guys what should be my goal for hp I know that the 1.3 sarlet 4efte motor does about 130 stock at 6-9 psi. (but I got a feeling that you guys are going to laugh if I make that my goal on the 3b.) Id like to do 110-115 if possible let me know if I got a shot.

also, will a b6 cam shove some more fuel into the b3 or should I just go ahead and buy the one from fms

i think the whole b6 head swapped over with its stock cam would be much better than a performance cam in a unported b3. the compression may even drop slightly allowing a safer setup before tuning.

Remember the rule of thumb/formula, if you add 14.7 pounds of boost*, you can double the hp. So if the stock b3 puts out 62 hp, 1 pound of boost gets you 4.21 hp more. To get to 112 you'd have to add 12 pounds of boost...*and everything else. Like better pistons and rods to make the bottom end stronger and more boost friendly. Bigger fuel pump, injectors and ideally, some kind of fuel/timing management, remembering that even with these items, you'll still just be flowing an 8 valve head, not a 12 or 16.
            I'm thinking 12 pounds of boost is...unreasonable.

and buy the one from fms
Maybe an fms cam could help somewhat.

A cam will not throw more fuel and i think that 110 hp is not unreal if the proper mods are taken. Lower comp. extra fuel and less timing good luck....I think the b3 will handle 10-12 lbs.

Use it. Unless you want to go standalone and use speed density (tps, map and iat) instead.

You can suck thru it or make a 4 bolt square to round adapter and blow thru it

where would I get a custom fly wheel If I wanted to go 16v b6. the guy at fms told me it will bolt up to the b3 tranny but you would need a custom fly wheel.

If you are using the stock tranny you can use any flywheel designed for the B3.

for real! when I swap a 16v into a festiva I can just bolt it up to the trany and thats it, just drop in the engine (and all wireing involved) and just bol up to the trany. that sounds too easy, and the guy at fms said that they won bolt up.
