G-series tranny swap

yeah fluid goes everywhere when your going down the road.

there seems to be more than one leak from this tranny. pisses me off. all that work and now i gotta find another tranny.


and clutch.

it seemed to be holding power fine earlier today but now its slightly slipping in 3rd and definitely slipping in 4th.

im gonna call spec and complain

That sucks. I'd try to clean it good and seal it up. (brake parts cleaner, rags, and seal-all)

Your car is making some power, so you'll need all the clutch you can get. I have the ACT xtreme 6 puk, sprung hub in mine. It grabs good. I've run it 50 or so passes on Drag radials. And having to do 2nd gear 6k rpm burnouts.

I've had a few spec clutches and they seemed ok for a mild setup.

that could be. i took my gf for a ride and it held fine in all the girls... so it seems really unpredictable. definitely engages reallly smoothly... too smoothly.

yeah i cant wait. and i hope to yet this year, but i know how busy i am and how long i take to get projects done so it would probbaly be spring till i find a better tranny

but the way it sits now i cant. shifting between 1st and 2nd is sorta important
