well they where selling racing cam in ebay i bought it but not sure if its the performance or racing but it feels alot more smoother and hits up from 2000rpm and higher revs up way! faster . it feels like it gave me bout 10 to 15more hp i have adjustable fuel pressure, beleive me idk which one it is but it rocks! just fuel pump need to change failing sometimes. sometimes it revs like nothing to 6500 and sometimes it doesnt want to let me higher then 5500 because of fuel pump cant handle pressure~!

Actually if you want to get picky our SOHC B3 motors have 8 cams... however they are all an integral part (machined out of the same piece of stock at the same time) of the single solitary camshaft. Commonly misused term, even by me, lol. But yeah, I doubt thats what this guy meant eitherOriginally posted by getnpsi View PostUgh this guy says CAMS for a SOHC the same way people ask about HEADERS for a 4 cylinder.
No festiva for me ATM...

Greg, B3s and B6s DON'T have cam caps, the cam sits in machined journals in the head, just like a cam sits in a V8 block. there is a groove cut into the cam that allows a keeper tab to fit into to keep the cam from walking in either direction once installed. the cam can be installed from either the driver or passenger side, i've done it both ways and prefer the passenger side method as it doesn't involve removing the dizzy OR battery. the valve cover and cam gear have to be removed in either case, so why remove more than you have to and then once installed, you don't have to mess with the timing...Originally posted by eurotiva View Postthis does NOT make sense, and you CANNOT install a cam without taking the cam caps off.
If you do NOT know what cam caps are then I doubt you installed a cam. Just saying.
I've been a mechanic for a LONG time and know these cars (along with a few dozen others) very well.
Maybe opening the groove in the end of the camshaft for the dizzy to fit?
Hope this doesn't offend you.Trees aren't kind to me...
