Can't use the modern(and technically more efficient) dynamic turbo shaft seals on a draw through, at least not on a traditional draw through. When the throttle is closed/barely open the vacuum will pull oil past the seal and spray it into the engine. I suppose you could work around that somehow, but it won't work in the traditional way of just sticking the carb before the turbo as-is.
EDIT: When I had my 323 GT I had an idea to make this work. Use an EFI intake mani and TB after the turbo/carb setup. Then take out the throttle plate/s from the carb, and set it up trad draw through. Then use a BOV to reroute the charge pre turbo but post carb. Finally, you'd need a linkage between the EFI TB and the carb throttle shaft lever. This way the turbo never sees vac and the accel pump still works on the carb, but the actual throttling happens at the IM just like in a normal turbo EFI app.
Make sense?
