If you want to make power and do it reliably, go with a celica alltrac engine and tranny. It will take a lot of fab but it will also take a lot of abuse. They're also really abundant.

I was under the impression that some of the Mazda Tribute/Ford Escapes had an AWD version of the G series gearbox.
Not sure where I heard/read that though

They don't exist here on the eastern half of the US.

And a k series takes to mods very well (300hp NA K24 anyone?)

Yeah for the amount of work you'd be better off with a Honda motor.

Justy was a 70hp 3 cylinder. I doubt the awd system is worth anything.

Surprisingly good actually. It won't take 300lb/ft, but several ppl have boosted the 1.2 to great affect. The saving grace is the small tires lack of grip at higher power levels.

I posted an AWD Mazda 323 with a JDM BP-T on the FB page, you should check it out, it was a recovery from a junkyard and the guy is selling it on NASIOC (Subaru forum).

I saw that! Looks cool. But im not ready for that yet. When i go awd i want at leats 500hp and strong. Ill be going the honda path most likely. Just due to the amount of parts i can get on the cheap.
