I would have the panel tinted instead of using spray on, and for the grille, I recommend perforated steel.

I did end up putting the stock grille back in. The bodywork and custom crap, while both fun and important, took a back seat to getting my BP built up, which subsequently has taken a back seat to getting a whole bunch of BS and drama in my life all sorted out.
Plans for the grille/front end right now are a Stylus front bumper and possibly a modded Rodeo grille, maybe something else. I don't really like perforated steel though.

The Ford sensor (P/N 5292) would have been a lot easier to use, or I could have adapted a stock VSS from another Mazda, but it was one of those 'do what you can with what you have' situations.
