Great, thanks for clarifying that for me.

No math references please, I'm on this forum instead of dealing with some trigonometry homework...Haha

OK. I've found an aspire which will be donated its steering rack to try this out.
Do I need the entire rack all the way to the steering wheel? Or up to which point should I remove?

I 2nd this information but I think I'll want the powered edition if they allowed the g2 Festiva that luxury.

They did. All you need is the PS pump and reservoir that came with your b6, and possibly some custom hoses to connect it to the rack.

I am excited about this as much as anyone, but let's move this discussion to the appropriate thread. It's just as valuable to the enthusiasts who won't ever look into the road racing thread
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Moved all posts to a more convienant thread of its own

How rare is aspire power steering?

                        1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Im using Escort GT outer tierod ends. They look like aspire ones but are about 1/2 longer and look a bit beefier. What drew me to these is the fact that they were in stock.
