    just to clarify;

    The VAF doesn't actually "meter" (control delivery of) the air. It IS a meter, measuring the airflow. The throttle plate actually meters the air.

    • "The B6 VAF should yield slightly better fuel economy and a little better idle and tip-in throttle performance. "

      Guess I better dig one up somewhere. I want all I can get out of it.

              • After working on the brake lines all morning ( I fixed a rear one and while bleeding the system a front one blew out, Ive decided to change them all. You might want to take a look at yours, its scary !!) I threw an old seat in the car and took it for its first drive. I can tell its more than stock. Got it up to temp, the fan came on and went off then drove it for about 10 minutes brought it home an parked in in the garage to check for leaks, found none. A lot of road noise with the interior out but it kind of sounds like the aspire rear beam may need some bearings. Im going to put new brake shoes on it anyway so that would be a good time to install new bearings too. I think its going to be pretty awesome once it gets finished. Thought Id share its first drive. Im the guy who said hed probably never do a engine swap .
