Got it sprayed today. Ended up doing a hood and some swoopies to match.

My buddy Mike hard at work while I supervise. Supervising is the most important part of painting you know.

pull the tape off and put it back togather tomorrow.

^ Man that car is getting optioned out buddy . Spoiler, rear wiper gear, flaps, Pride taillights, etc NICE !! You just need a new FESTIVA GL decal. Yeah I think I've got a couple of used sets of flaps around, I think thats what I'll do.
Hey Karl thats a good one, ya know Fresh probably has every option offered for these cars, actually more than one of each, so Fresh why not turn one of the walls in the machine shed, oh wait a minute turn the garage were you change oil, into a Festiva museum dedicated to the Festiva car and 1 each of all the options offered for this car, you could use Karls idea as a center piece. Your right i do need to find a new FESTIVA GL decal, i'm just havin some fun with these cars. Thanks Shadran for the kind words.

    Festy mud flaps

Fresh, i understand your thoughts, it would be hard to pull out a brand new set of mud flaps but then it would match the quality of your car, heck dig a little deeper in the Gold Mine, i'm sure you could find a good used set.

Done prepping, ready to paint when conditions are right. The paint missing from the cowling was from the engine fire prior to me owning the car.

We've got some last minute masking to do but had to leave it so we can still open the hood, hatch , and drivers side door.

I worked on my current hood ( which I got for a 12 pack of diet coke )today and got some dings out. The FG hood has been leaning against my living room wall for a couple of years now. While Im painting I guess I could spray it as well. Not real cool with hood pins though. I hate to get dirt on the new flaps.

Thank you, its a work in progress. Did about four hours prep today, probably have a couple more tomorrow before paint. Debating if I should put my NOS factory mudflaps and fiberglass GTX hood on this car or not.

Installed better bumper covers the other day and going to prep for paint tomorrow. Nice weather forecasted for the week so hopefully it will be done sometime this week.

Bought some supplies today to take care of some cosmetic paint problems with the car. See below. Mainly the roof and the bumper covers. Ive got some extra covers so Ill just paint them. A friend of mine offered to spray it. Might spray some mirrors too.
